The world knows him as a successful documentary film-maker with dozens of accolades and international awards. For me? He's just my baba. For thirty years, my father ventured into the remotest parts of Nepal. For three decades, he didn't seek products; he sought people. He climbed deep into Nepal's highlands, earning trust not with transactions, but by living with the farming families themselves. He didn't just document life; he shared meals, sat at their tables, and witnessed, with his own eyes, the purest traditions of harvest—a foundation built on mutual respect and unbreakable bonds.
I still remember the sound of the key in the lock&the fragrance of the mountains that would follow him inside.
He never arrived empty-handed. Wherever he'd journeyed off to this time, he'd come back home with a piece of that village. The fragrant, rich ghee of rural Dadeldhura that tasted like mountain summer, the coarse, warm yak yarn of Solukhumbu that felt like a high-altitude hug.
I didn't realize it then, but this was his deepest form of respect.
This wasn't souvenir collecting; this was his quiet, personal way of investing in the farmers he'd come to call family. He saw the immense quality and integrity in their traditional work and realized his dream: to make a difference by sharing these authentic treasures with the world. This honest act of support is the soil from which our brand was born.

My father’s vision was pure: to preserve and share that pristine purity. The trust my father built through his physical presence—through decades spent climbing, living, and listening—is what I uphold today through radical transparency.
